Day 25
There is no blog for yesterday because I couldn't make it into class. Today was odd because I wasn't at the Saanich studio. I practiced at the Bikram Yoga Metrotown studio, and I did not enjoy my class. First of all, they had carpet and I kept sliding around everywhere. Secondly, of all the room was surrounded by windows and I found it hard to concentrate on doing my yoga because I kept looking out the window. The people at the studio seemed quite nice, although I don't know if I would go back to the carpet. I don't like that one bit!

I moved from Saanich and had to get used to a studio with carpet after being used to the nice floors at BYS. Turns out that the carpets make you face the fact that you need to build up leg strength - especially in the inner thighs! It sucks, but it's just one more way to gain strength and benefits from the yoga. I recommend really thinking about the inner thighs and engaging them as hard as you can while practicing at BYS - and then next time you are at a carpeted studio, you'll have built up the strength to handle it.
